I’ve always been drawn to dark and creepy things that others might shy away from. These kinds of oddities can be hard to find...or wildly overpriced...so I started learning how to make and preserve what I loved myself. My home is filled with a growing collection of oddities from my travels at shops and expos. But I was up for the challenge of learning myself.
It all started when I found a moth and decided to try preserving it. That single moment led me down the path of learning insect pinning and entomology. Since then, I’ve pinned many insects through trial and error. Some I’ve found myself, others lovingly saved for me by friends and supporters of my learning process. I am the friend asking you to save bugs...it's weird...I know. Along the way, I’ve ruined a lot of specimens while learning, but every mistake taught me something new. Slowly I have been able to actually create more then just home projects and feel confident enough to sell these pieces myself.
From there, I dug deeper into the strange world of preservation and learned how to create wet specimens, expanding both my skills and my curiosity. I’m planning to venture into taxidermy in 2026, continuing to learn as I go.
